Richter Scale heads the likely field for Wednesday’s $250,000 Forego Handicap (gr. II) at Saratoga. The Forego was won last year by Crafty Friend when contested at seven furlongs and will be run at 6 ½ furlongs this year.
Richter Scale has three wins from four starts this year and is undefeated in sprints during the current campaign. His only loss came in the Metropolitan Handicap (gr. I), in which he finished sixth. In his most recent race, Richter Scale won the Frank J. DeFrancis Memorial Dash Stakes (gr. I), in which he established a Laurel Park course record for six furlongs (1:07.95).
Other probable starters include Intidab, Successful Appeal, One Way Love, Iron Punch, Chasin’ Wimmin, Proven Cure, and Shadow Cast
