European Shippers Invade Del Mar Oaks

Nine sophomore fillies, including Trudy McCaffery and John Toffan's Hollywood Oaks (gr. II) winner Kumari Continent, are entered to run in the Del Mar Oaks (gr. IT) Sunday at Del Mar. The 1 1/8-mile turf race also features La Gandilie, Theoretically, No Matter What, and Premiere Creation making their North American debuts, and former European runner Uncharted Haven.

The field and jockeys for the $250,000 race will be:

3—Velvet Morning, Robby Albarado
4—La Gandilie, Gerald Mosse
5—Premiere Creation, Corey Nakatani
6—Mary Kies, Chris McCarron

8—Kumari Continent, Kent Desormeaux
9—Uncharted Haven, Alex Solis
All starters carry 121 pounds
