Dual stakes winner Understatement was represented by his first foal when a colt was born in Oregon Feb. 9.

Bred by Pinot Noir Stables, the colt is the first foal out of the winning Skimming mare Two Per Cent.

During his race career, Understatement (Distorted HumorEmotional Outburst, by Capote) won two stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack and placed in two others, including the Excelsior (gr. III). He retired from the track with earnings of nearly $300,000.

Bred in Kentucky by Brenda Jones, Understatement stands for $1,000 at Oakhurst Thoroughbreds near Newberg Ore.
