Fourteen Entered For Big Cap

San Fernando winner Western Pride will start from post 14 in the Santa Anita Handicap.
The largest field in nearly 20 years was entered Wednesday for Saturday's $1 million Santa Anita Handicap (gr. I). Euchre and Milwaukee Brew, a Frank Stronach-owned entry, was made the 7-2 favorite in the 1 1/4-mile race for older horses. A field of 14 will go postward in the evenly-matched field.
Seventeen ran in the 1983 Big Cap, won by Bates Motel.
Santa Anita is offering a guaranteed $1 million Pick Six on Saturday and is also trying to boost attendance with a watch giveaway.
