The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program, which encourages the retraining of Thoroughbreds for other disciplines after their racing or breeding careers are over, has announced the winners and other placings from its 2013 performance awards pilot program.

The performance awards recognize Thoroughbreds accumulating the most points at all horse shows in each of the award categories and divisions throughout the year.

"We had an excellent response to the pilot program," Kristin Leshney, legal associate for The Jockey Club and the administrator of T.I.P., said in a release. "We received 150 applications representing 78 Thoroughbreds, and 25 states and Ontario."

Performance awards will be available once again in 2014 and will include shows from Dec. 1, 2013, through Nov. 30, 2014. The 2014 performance award information will be collected online through the T.I.P. website at http://www.tjctip.com, with a deadline of Dec. 20, 2014.

The complete list of winners can be found at the bottom of the release that is posted on the T.I.P. Facebook page.
