A filly out of Precious Secret, by Fusaichi Pegasus, is the first foal for European sprinter Bated Breath.
Prominent European sprinter Bated Breath was represented by his first reported foal when a bay filly out of the Fusaichi Pegasus   mare Precious Secret was born at Barton Stud in the United Kingdom Jan. 11.

"She is a very nice foal, very strong, and we are really pleased with her," said Stourbank Stud's Peter Veenbaas, who owns the filly. "She is a great advert for the stallion."

Bated Breath was one of the most consistent sprinters of his generation, winning the 2012 Temple Stakes (Eng-II) and placing in four group I contests, including the 2011 Darley July Cup.

Bred in England, Bated Breath is by Dansili and is out of the Distant View mare Tantina. He covered 146 mares in his first season at stud at breeder Juddmonte Farms' Banstead Manor Stud in England. Bated Breath's 2014 fee will be £8,000 ($13,245 in U.S. funds).
