The first reported foal for Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) winner I'll Have Another   was a filly born Jan. 18 at Big Red Farm in Hokkaido, Japan.

The filly was produced from Cosmo Meal (Jpn), an 11-year-old Hector Protector mare who placed in a Japanese grade III stake while racing for Big Red Farm.

"She is a really bonny and healthy foal," a Big Red Farm representative said in an e-mail. "She rose to her full height without (being) wobbly about one hour after she was born."

Trained by Doug O'Neill for Paul Reddam, I'll Have Another was voted champion 3-year-old of 2012 following a campaign in which he won the Kentucky Derby, Santa Anita Derby, and Preakness Stakes, all grade I, and Robert B. Lewis Stakes (gr. II). The colt was retired due to a leg injury the day before the Belmont Stakes (gr. I).

The dual classic winner entered stud in Japan after being sold by Reddam for $10 million, more than double the value placed on him by the only two American farms that bid.
