Carrie Vaught has been named director of membership and marketing at the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association.
Vaught is a graduate of Texas A&M University and joins TOBA after working at the United States Hunter Jumper Association as educational programs manager.
She will be responsible for the continued development of the association's membership, marketing, and communications, as well as planning and implementing the association's seminars and clinics. She brings to the table longterm equine experience combined with project management, event planning, and marketing skills.
"Carrie's experience, enthusiasm, and passion for the sport will be a tremendous asset to our membership and programs," said TOBA president Dan Metzger. "We will continue our efforts to service the needs of owners and breeders and Carrie will be instrumental in the efforts to achieve our goals."
"I am excited for this opportunity to be involved with Thoroughbred owners and breeders," Vaught said. "As a previous OTTB (off-track Thoroughbred) owner myself, I feel a direct connection with the industry and look forward to aiding in the continued growth of the sport."
