Postponed, will stand at stud in New Zealand.
New York grade II winner Postponed has arrived in New Zealand for stallion duty following his purchase by a partnership of Karaka Group, Chatham Lodge Thoroughbreds, and Fayette Park Stud. He will stand at Fayette Park for NZ$8,000.
A Storm Bird grandson, Postponed scored his major win in the 2000 Peter Pan Stakes (gr. II) at Belmont Park, and his other added-money efforts included a fourth-place finish in that year's Jim Dandy Stakes (gr. II) at Saratoga. Bred by William S. Farish, Temple Webber Jr., and James Elkins, Postponed (Summer Squall--Bridal Tea, by Gulch) won four of 22 starts and earned $312,332 for owner Jeanne Vance.
Postponed's second dam, Chapel of Dreams, is a half-sister to leading sire Storm Cat (by Storm Bird).
