Shy's Aly Scores for Sire Too Shy Will Fly

Shy’s Aly, the only foal in the first crop of Florida-based stallion Too Shy Will Fly, rallied from last early and drew away in the stretch to post a 7 ½-length victory in a maiden special weight race Friday, Dec. 13 at Calder Casino & Race Course (VIDEO).

Too Shy Will Fly stands for $1,000 at the Florida farm of Dodie Duys, who is the breeder of 2-year-old filly Shy’s Aly. Too Shy Will Fly is an 8-year-old son of Wild Event—Desirae’s Dancer, by General Silver.

Sent off as the 9-10 favorite Friday at Calder, Bertrell Vaz’s Shy’s Aly, trained by Leon Minott, was guided to victory by jockey Wesley Henry.
