Heavy Breathing  , the full brother to grade I winner and sire Frost Giant  , will stand his initial season in 2014 for a fee of $2,500 at Dutchess Views Farm near Pine Plains, N.Y.

A son of Giant's Causeway  Takesmybreathaway, by Gone West, trained by Todd Pletcher, Heavy Breathing won or placed in five of seven starts. His retirement was announced earlier this year.

According to a release, the partnership that owns Heavy Breathing decided to set his fee at a level to "best serve breeders who might not be able to gain access to Frost Giant," who will stand for $10,000 next season at Keane Stud near Armenia, N.Y.

"We are very excited about the future with Heavy Breathing," said Eric Bishop, who manages Frost Giant's career for Andrew Cohen's Sunset Stables and will manage Heavy Breathing for the partnership of Sunset Stables, Gary Tolchin's Golden Goose Enterprises, and Well Found Management. "We want to provide New York breeders with a great chance to access this bloodline, which clearly has worked so well in New York, at a very attractive level."
