Report: VLT Bill on Hold, at Least for This Week

Legislation that would authorized video lottery terminals at Kentucky's eight racetracks probably won't be filed until the week of Feb. 25, a racetrack official said Feb. 20.

Meanwhile, House leaders told the Louisville Courier-Journal they'd like the racing industry to prove to them that any gaming legislation has some support in the Senate. Thus far, support for the measure has come from the House.

Racing industry officials met with House leaders the evening of Feb. 20 to again review the legislation's numbers, which apparently have changed with each passing meeting on the subject.
