Hofmans Sets Friday or Saturday Workout for Siphonic

Trainer Dave Hofmans said Wednesday that Siphonic will work five furlongs at Hollywood Park on Friday or Saturday, depending on the track. The son of Siphon missed his last work due to what Hofmans called "a very slight temperature."

"He's doing great," Hofmans said. "They did some maintenance on the track, so we'll see how it is on Friday. But he'll definitely work five-eighths Friday or Saturday."

Siphonic last started in the Santa Catalina Stakes, finishing second to Labamta Babe after stumbling badly at the start. He is scheduled to make his next start in the March 17 San Felipe Stakes at 1 1/16 miles.
