The Thoroughbred Corporation's People's Princess rallied to post a 1 1/4 -length victory in Monday's 30th running of the grade III, $108,600 Rare Treat Handicap for fillies and mares 3 years old and up at Aqueduct. Following a stewards' inquiry into the run on the far turn, Zonk, who finished second, was placed fourth for interfering with A.O.L. Hayes. In the revised order of finish, Pocus Hocus, the original third-place finisher, was placed second with A.O.L. Hayes moved up to third. People's Princess covered the 1 1/8 miles in 1:49 4/5 on the fast track for her first win in two starts this year. It was Arroyo's third winning ride of the day. People's Princess returned $5.60, $3.00 and $2.60. Pocus Hocus paid $4.20 and $3.80 and A.O.L. Hayes was worth $6.10.A 6-year-old daughter of Meadowlake trained by Bill Mott, People's Princess has won seven of 16 career starts, with five seconds and two third-place finishes.(Chart, Equibase)
