After breaking slowly, Seattle Glory went 5-wide turning for home, then made up 4 1/2 lengths in the final furlong to win by a half-length in 1:11 flat. Pletcher now will stretch him out in his next start and see where he stands.
, who finished a fast-closing fourth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile is back working steadily at Bay Meadows after being given a freshening by trainer Terry Knight. The Arlington-Washington Futurity winner is pointing for the Louisiana Derby. "His loss in the Hollywood Futurity was puzzling," Knight said. "The track was wet and he was just dull over it. He lost some of his sharpness, so I just backed off and started over."
