Currency Swap  , winner of the 2011 Three Chimneys Hopeful Stakes (gr. I), will stand the 2014 breeding season at John Sykes' Woodford Thoroughbreds Ocala in Central Florida. The multiple graded stakes winner's stud fee is set at $3,500.

Currency Swap is a son of High Cotton  , one of Florida's leading sires, and is out of the Pine Bluff mare Echo Bluff. He retires with a record of 4-2-1 in 10 starts and earnings of $459,300.

After breaking his maiden by six lengths in his career debut at Saratoga Race Course in 2011, he won the Hopeful by three-quarters of a length, leaving in his wake eventual champion sprinter Trinniberg  , and Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands and Preakness (both gr. I) winner I'll Have Another  , who won the Eclipse Award as best 3-year-old of 2012.

Currency Swap was the last horse to defeat I'll Have Another, and was co-rated fifth at 120 pounds on the 2011 Experimental Free Handicap. Aside from the Hopeful, he won the 2012 Amsterdam Stakes (gr. II) at Saratoga at 3, plus the You and I Stakes at Belmont Park. He was second in the Woody Stephens Stakes (gr. II), also at Belmont.

At Woodford, Currency Swap will join Biondetti  , Crown of Thorns  , Repent, Vineyard Haven  , and the recently retired Soldat  .
