Seattle Slew, the only living Triple Crown winner, celebrated his 28th birthday Friday, Feb. 15, at Robert N. Clay's Three Chimneys Farm near Midway, Ky.
As part of the celebration, handler Tom Wade fed carrot cake to the stallion, who has been represented by more than 100 stakes winners.
The son of Bold Reasoning successfully returned to the breeding shed last year after undergoing surgery for a compression of the spinal cord.
