Indiana Stallion Station, near Anderson, announced its first annual Stallion Show and Open House to be held Oct. 12 starting at 1 p.m. EDT.
There will be free food all day long and a band starting at 5 p.m. Prizes will be given away every half hour, as well as one free season to each of the stallions at the conclusion of the stallion show at 3 p.m.
The Indiana breeding program incentives include bonuses of 20% of the total purse, including supplements, for every win by a registered Indiana-bred in races of $10,000 claiming or higher, held at a licensed pari-mutuel track in Indiana.
Breeders also receive a bonus of 10% of the winner's purse share in flat races $10,000 claiming or higher in another state or Canada when tracks have no live Thoroughbred meets in progress in Indiana; on stakes races held anytime during the year; and on 2-year-old races held before July 1.
Indiana Stallion Station will also have mares in foal and Indiana-bred weanlings and yearlings available for inspection and sale.
