First Winner for Mikimoto's Mojo

Mojo's Pristina became the first winner for her sire, Mikimoto's Mojo, when she posted a victory in her second start Sept. 25 in race three at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races.
 
The 2-year-old filly ridden by Carlos Marrero, wired the 4 1/2-furlong dirt dash, besting the field by 2 3/4 lengths. Final time for the maiden special weight was :54.67.
 
Foaled in West Virginia, Mojo's Pristina is trained by Michael Sterling and runs as a homebred for Maple Valley Farm. Mojo's Pristina's dam is Silver Patina, by Friends Lake.
 
The Answers, LLC, bred Mikimoto's Mojo in Kentucky. Lightly raced, he won two of his five starts including Evangeline Downs' Lafayette Stakes and retired with earnings of $108,750.
 
An 8-year-old son of Hold That Tiger, Mikimotos' Mojo is out of  Munch N Grass, a daughter of Pleasant Colony.
 
Mikimoto's Mojo stands at Maple Valley Farm near Shenendoah Junction, W. Va. His fee for the 2013 breeding season was $1,500.
