2011 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf winner Wrote

Northwest Stud has announced that Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (gr. IT) winner Wrote   and multiple graded stakes winner Duke of Mischief   have joined the stallion roster and will stand the 2014 season at the farm near Ocala, Fla. Fees will be announced later.

Irish-bred Wrote, a son of two-time Eclipse Award-winner High Chaparral, won three of 11 starts while racing in the U.S., Ireland, England, and the United Arab Emirates. Wrote retires with earnings of $815,943. The colt won the 2011 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf at Churchill Downs by 2 1/4 lengths and finished third in the 2012 United Arab Emirates Derby (UAE-II).

Duke of Mischief, a son of Graeme Hall out of the Real Courage mare My Lady Amelia, earned $1,905,747 while winning seven of 30 starts, with five second-place efforts. Among his victories were the Oaklawn Handicap (gr. II), Philip H. Iselin Stakes (gr. III), Charles Town Classic (gr. III), Ft. Lauderdale Stakes (gr. III), and the Iowa Derby.

Duke of Mischief's sire is among the leading stallions in Florida with lifetime progeny earnings of more than $20.6 million. Duke of Mischief's dam has also produced grade III winner Lord Robyn.
