Fasig-Tipton's Midlantic division has released the catalog for its 2013 Fall Yearling sale at Timonium, with 387 yearlings entered for the continuous session that begins Sept. 30 at 10 a.m.
The catalog's front cover features 2011 sales graduate Dancing Afleet, winner of this year's Delaware Oaks (gr. II). She is a daughter of champion and dual classic winner Afleet Alex , himself a Midlantic sales program graduate. Tim Ritchey, who trains Dancing Afleet and owns her with Beverly Frazier, landed the filly for $28,000 at the 2011 edition of the Fall Yearling sale.
"We draw a wide range of owners and trainers to Timonium, as well as enjoying strong support from the pinhooking community," said sales director Paget Bennett. "So it is pleasing to see an equal diversity in our consignors and sires. We have 157 stallions represented in the sale and consignors from seven different states.
"Our graduates have been performing well on the racetracks and in the 2-year-old markets. We are looking forward to an active and positive market."
Catalogs may be viewed online at the company's website and also are available at all Fasig-Tipton offices.
