The Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's will offer slightly fewer horses at its March sale of 2-year-olds in training this year. The catalogue will have 407 head, down by nearly 3% from last year's total of 419. The auction is scheduled for March 19 and 20 in Ocala, Fla.On March 21, OBS will oversee a special auction of 2-year-olds owned by Frank Stronach's Adena Springs. The sale will be held at Adena Springs' Florida division near Ocala.During the OBS auction last March, 216 horses were sold for a gross of $15,166,000, an average of $70,213, and a median of $51,000. The average remained about the same as the previous year, but the gross and median fell by 13.4% and 7.3%, respectively. An OBS record was established for a juvenile when a Dehere colt sold for $1,050,000.
