King Cugat to Shuttle to Widden in Australia

Incoming stallion King Cugat, who is getting ready for the Feb. 11 start at William S. Farish's Lane's End Farm near Versailles, Ky., will join the 2002 Southern Hemisphere roster at Widden Stud at a fee of $17,500, including GST.

A 5-year-old son of Kingmambo, King Cugat will stand at Widden Stud in conjunction with Baramul Stud, with both farms providing support from their large broodmare bands.

A multiple grade II winner who ran second in five grade I events, King Cugat won seven of 16 starts and earned $1,293,782. His dam, Tricky Game (by Majestic Light), is a half-sister to major sire Seeking the Gold.
