Stakes Winner With Ability Wins Aqueduct Allowance by Nearly 10 Lengths

Fashion Stakes winner With Ability led from wire to wire and won by 9 1/2 lengths in Aqueduct's Friday feature, a $48,000 allowance for older fillies and mares. Authentic Caller was second in the field of six, three lengths ahead of Arpeggio.
The win was the first in two starts this year for With Ability, who was assigned 117 pounds and ridden by Javier Castellano. With Ability covered 1 mile and 70 yards on the fast track in 1:41.20 to earn $28,800 for her owner-breeder, Edward P. Evans. Mark Hennig trains the winner.
With Ability, like stakes winners Pulpit and Tempera, is by A.P. Indy and out of a Mr. Prospector mare. In the case of 4-year-old With Ability, that Mr. Prospector mare is two-time grade II winner Withallprobability Withallprobability also produced Probable Colony (by Pleasant Colony), whose daughter Summer Colony (by Summer Squall) carries a five-race winning streak into Saturday's $200,000 La Canada (gr. II) at Santa Anita.
