Bienamado, a three-time grade I winner who was retired in January because of a suspensory ligament injury, will stand at Cardiff Stud Farms near Creston, Calif. His fee is $5,000, with syndication shares available for $15,000.

Six-year-old Bienamado (Bien Bien--Nakterjal, by Vitiges) won eight of 16 starts and earned $1,261,089. At Hollywood Park's spring/summer meeting in 2001, he captured the Charles Whittingham Handicap (gr. IT) and was named the meet's turf champion. Earlier that year at Santa Anita, he won the San Juan Capistrano Invitational Handicap (gr. IT) in course record time.

Bienamado won four other U.S. stakes, including the 2000 Hollywood Turf Cup Stakes (gr. IT), for owners John Toffan, Trudy McCaffery, and Robert Sangster. He also was a group winner in France and group II stakes placed in England.
