Freshman sire Yesbyjimminy wasted no time in picking up his first winner as his first starter, Flay Mignon, scored a gate-to-wire victory in his career debut June 28 at Monmouth Park (VIDEO).

A homebred for Laurie Plesa, Flay Mignon opened a clear lead under jockey Paco Lopez at the first call and cruised to a 2 3/4-length score in the maiden claiming race contested as the fifth on the card. Flay Mignon completed the five-furlong race in :58.19 on the fast track.

Grade III winner Yesbyjimminy stands for $2,500 at Bridlewood Farm in Ocala, Fla. Yesbyjimminy is a 9-year-old son of Yes It's True   out of the Pentelicus mare Sisters Creek.
