Eight teams will compete in the second Horse Farm Soccer Tournament that begins June 23 near Lexington. The event helps support Blue Grass Farms Charities.
Dixiana Farms, the presenting sponsor of and host site for the soccer tourney, will face Juddmonte Farms in the first game. Other teams will be fielded by Lane's End Farm, Ramsey Farm, Three Chimneys Farm, Gainesway Farm, Denali Stud, and Summer Wind Farm.
Hagyard Equine Medical Institute will sponsor a barbecue dinner and entertainment after the tournament final June 29. Additional major sponsors include FasigÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚Â¬Ãƒâ€šÃ‚ÂTipton, Dapple Advertising, Padgett Construction, Kirkpatrick & Co., Standlee Hay, Keeneland, Horse America, and Highbridge Spring Water, according to a release.
Blue Grass Farms Charities said it will partner with the University of Kentucky Shoulder to Shoulder Global team of volunteer medical professionals and students to offer a health fair in conjunction with the tournament.

"Not only does the soccer tournament promote healthy physical activity and teamÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚Â¬Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Âbuilding for the participants, it helps fund Blue Grass Farms Charities' various programs to bring health clinics and financial assistance for medical expenses to workers throughout the horse community."
