Frank Stronach's Adena Springs Farm will offer two-thirds of its current crop of 2-year-olds a public auction on March 21 at Adena Springs South near Ocala, Fla. Approximately 71 juveniles have been catalogued for the sale, which will be conducted with the help of personnel from the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company.
Included in the offerings are offspring from the first crops of grade I winners Awesome Again, Touch Gold, and Wild Rush. Each 2-year-old will be offered with a pre-set, published reserve.
"I have a great deal of confidence in the Adena Springs program and our ability to breed, raise, and train horses capable of competing at the highest level," Stronach said. "All of the horses catalogued for this sale have been brought through the same winning program that has resulted in four Eclipse Awards over the last three years. This auction reinforces our practice of ongoing support for our stallion roster."
A country barbecue featuring local entertainment will precede the auction. The sale follows the OBS March select juvenile auction on March 19 and 20.
Adena Springs also conducts an annual sale of mares each year at Fasig-Tipton Kentucky during Lexington's November breeding stock sales.
