Eleven-year-old Comet Shine, a champion in Canada as a 2-year-old, arrived Jan. 26 at Ellen Jackson's Victory Rose Thoroughbreds near Vacaville, Calif. A son of Fappiano out of Canadian classic winner Hangin On a Star (by Vice Regent), Comet Shine has sired three stakes, including two in 2001. His fee is $2,500 live foal. He formerly stood at Madera Thoroughbreds in California
