Request for Parole breezed five furlongs at Turfway Park Friday ahead of the Feb. 2 WEBN Frog Stakes. The $50,000 Frog Stakes is a one-mile main track test for 3-year-olds run at the northern Kentucky track.

Request for Parole finished second to a pair of Ken McPeek-trained Kentucky Derby prospects in the Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes (gr. II, won by Repent) and Iroquois (gr. III) and Miller Genuine Draft Cradle Stakes (both won by Harlan's Holiday). The son of Judge T C is the first horse owned by Jeri and Sam Knighton and the first stakes winner for trainer Stephen Margolis. The Knightons have owned horse for a little over a year, while Margolis has been conditioning them for a similar period of time.

The Frog Stakes will mark Request for Parole's 3-year-old debut. As a juvenile, he won two of seven starts, including the seven-furlong Ellis Park Juvenile Stakes just over a month after defeating Stephentown by a neck in an Ellis Park maiden race.

Request for Parole is out of the Deputy Minister mare Madison's Quest and was bred by Robert and Bea Roberts.
