An A.P. Indy filly became the first seven-figure purchase at the March 25 Fasig-Tipton Florida sale of selected 2-year-olds in training when she was acquired by Green Hills for $1.1 million.
Consigned by Stephens Thoroughbreds as Hip No. 124, the filly was produced from the multiple stakes-winning Mr. Greeley mare Foxy Danseur. Bred in Kentucky by Clearsky Farms, the filly was purchased by Mayberry Farm for $300,000 from the Clearsky consignment to the 2012 Keeneland September yearling sale.
Barbara Montanye signed the ticket when buying the filly March 25 at the Fasig-Tipton sale. During the pre-sale workouts, the filly had one of the co-fastest workout times of :10 for one-eighth of a mile.
Previous to the one-day auction, John Stephens praised the filly, saying, "She has been great since day one. She's trained super here at Palm Meadows. She has a lot of class about her. She's also a fantastic physical (specimen). She looks like a colt."
