Hollywood Takeout Will Remain 14% in Pick 5

Betfair Hollywood Park will continue to offer the Players' Pick 5 at the reduced takeout rate of 14% when the spring/summer meet begins April 25.

The Pick 5, which has the lowest takeout of any multiple race wager in California, is a 50-cent minimum bet offered on the first five races daily. It was introduced at the spring/summer meet in 2011.

The popular bet needed the approval of the Thoroughbred Owners of California in order to be offered at the reduced takeout rather than the 23% deduction that is standard on multiple leg wagers in the state.

The 2013 spring/summer season, which will mark the 75th anniversary of Hollywood Park, runs through July 14.
