Agave Kiss, a New York graded stakes winner who won her first six starts, has been retired from racing and is booked to major sire Tapit  .

Bred in New York by the late Carl Lizza's Nustar Breeding, 4-year-old Agave Kiss is by Lion Heart out of the stakes-winning Salt Lake mare Salty Romance. She raced for Lizza's widow, Viane, in the name Flying Zee Racing Stables.

Agave Kiss set the pace in all six of her wins. She won two races at 2 including an allowance event by 10 1/2 lengths. She started her 3-year-old season winning the Ruthless Stakes and then Cicada Stakes (gr. III), both at Aqueduct Racetrack, and next took the Trevose Stakes at Parx Racing and the Miss Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course. Later that year she was beaten a neck in the Valor Lady Stakes at Belmont Park and finished third in the Prioress Stakes (gr. I) at Saratoga Race Course.

Agave Kiss, a half sister to stakes-placed Luxury Appeal, was retired with a record of 6-1-1 from 10 starts and earnings of $339,400 while trained by Rudy Rodriguez.

Agave Kiss' second dam, Checkerspot, is a half sister to dual stakes winner One Fine Shweetie, dam of two stakes winners including 2012 graded winner Awesomemundo.

Tapit (PulpitTap Your Heels, by Unbridled) stands for $125,000 at Antony Beck's Gainesway Farm near Lexington.
