The $150,000 Providencia Stakes (gr. IIIT) for 3-year-old fillies at 1 1/8 miles on turf, originally scheduled to be run April 7, will instead be run a day earlier on the Santa Anita Derby program, Santa Anita Park announced.
In addition to the Providencia and the 750,000 Santa Anita Derby (gr. I), the Arcadia track will also card the Santa Anita Oaks (gr. I) for 3-year-old fillies and the Potrero Grande Stakes (gr. II) for sprinters April 6.
Santa Anita will replace the Providencia with an overnight stakes to be run April 7.
