Trainer Rick Dutrow Jr. has filed a $10 million federal lawsuit against regulators in connection with his 10-year suspension.

The New York Daily News reported Feb. 26 Dutrow has sued the New York State Gaming Commission, which used to be the New York State Racing and Wagering Board; former NYSRWB chairman John Sabini; the Association of Racing Commissioners International; and several others. Dutrow claims to have suffered irreparable harm and economic damages because of the ban, the newspaper reported.

Dutrow began serving his suspension in January after the state court of appeals ruled it wouldn't hear his case.

The New York Daily News reported the lawsuit claims Dutrow was denied due process.
