A chance to meet Storm Cat is among the Thoroughbred-related items up for bid in the annual online auction to benefit the YMCA of Central Kentucky's High Street branch in Lexington.

Storm Cat, now 30, is the two-time leading sire and leading broodmare sire of 2012 now pensioned at the Young family's Overbrook Farm in Lexington.

Other Thoroughbred-related items in the online auction that concludes at 8 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 24, include four tickets to this year's Preakness Stakes (gr. I); a framed Storm Cat print signed by William T. Young; Keeneland box for six and a behind-the-scenes tour of Keeneland; a Storm Cat halter; and a Super Saver   halter. Other online items include a basketball signed by University of Kentucky head basketball coach John Calipari and several vacation getaways. All the items are available online at www.ymcaofcentralky.org.

The High Street YMCA is also hosting a silent auction in its lobby that includes Keneeland memorabilia, gift baskets, dining packages, and children's artwork. That auction concludes at 6 p.m. Feb. 25 and participants do not have to be members of the YMCA.

The silent auction is part of the YMCA of Central Kentucky's annual campaign to raise the funds necessary to allow the organization to offer financial assistance to those unable to pay. Silent auctions supporting the Annual Giving Campaign will also be held at the Beaumont Centre Family YMCA, Feb. 25-March 2, and the North Lexington Family YMCA, Feb. 28-March 7.
