A limited edition bourbon decanter featuring the likeness of the great Secretariat and his jockey Ron Turcotte will be unveiled May 1 at the Kentucky Derby Museum at Churchill Downs.
Sale of the 500 limited edition decanters containing Four Roses bourbon at $320 (plus taxes) each and a limited edition bottle of Four Roses bourbon celebrating Secretariat's Triple Crown sweep in 1973 will benefit the preservation of the history of the Kentucky Derby at the Kentucky Derby Museum and the Secretariat Foundation benefiting equine-related causes within the racing industry.
The museum event will also include a guided bourbon tasting with Secretariat's owner Penny Chenery and master distiller Jim Rutledge. Turcotte will also attend the event and be available for signings, and merchandise commemorating the 1973 feat by Secretariat will be available for sale.
