The $1.5 million Charles Town Classic will be one of six stakes on a program that begins at 5 p.m. EDT.
HRTV also will provide in-studio commentary and analysis for the Sept. 21 "Race for the Ribbon" program, which features the Researcher Stakes and Charles Town Oaks, two $400,000 races for 3-year-olds, and the Oct. 19 West Virginia Breeders Classics program.
"Between the promotion they do in the lead-up to the event and analysis their hosts provide on race night, HRTV has unquestionably added value to our marquee races," said Erich Zimny, vice president of racing operations at Charles Town. "HRTV has been there since the outset of our new racing events in 2008, and we're looking forward to them being a part of it once again in 2013."
"HRTV is once again delighted to partner with Charles Town for three outstanding racing days," HRTV president Scott Daruty said. "These stakes have grown in stature, and we're proud to devote extensive coverage for each of those great cards."
