GP Races Feature Capo Bastone, Pants On Fire

Pants On Fire
Two allowance events on the Feb. 15 and 16 Gulfstream Park cards feature some of racing's familiar names, with Pants On Fire taking on milers Feb. 15 and Capo Bastone making his first start since a third in the Grey Goose Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) Feb. 16.
The older horse event, a $100,000 allowance optional claimer with a $65,000 purse, features Duke of Mischief, Alma d'Oro, Eldaafer, Winslow Homer, and Ravelo's Boy among nine contenders going a mile.
Pants On Fire, a 5-year-old son of
Jump Start , was third for owners George and Lori Hall and trainer Kelly Breen in the Jan. 13 Hal's Hope Stakes (gr. III) behind
Csaba and
Pool Play last time out. Eldaafer makes his first start since a seventh in the Nov. 2 Breeders' Cup Marathon (gr. II).
Capo Bastone's race, a 1 1/16-mile allowance optional claimer worth $54,500 in which horses may run for a $75,000 tag, also has promising maiden winners

Capo Bastone has not raced since a third in the Nov. 3 Breeders' Cup Juvenile at
Santa Anita Park, in which he reportedly bled. The son of
Street Boss will be making his first start for trainer Todd Pletcher since being transferred from the barn of John Sadler by Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners.
