Willa B Awesome, a 2012 grade I winner and California champion, has been retired from racing and is booked to Darley stallion Medaglia d'Oro  . The 4-year-old filly finished third in the La Canada Stakes (gr. II) at Santa Anita Jan. 20 in her final start for owners Phil Daniels, Patsy London, John Winters, and Terry Lovingier.

Willa B Awesome was named California champion 3-year-old filly after winning the Santa Anita Oaks (gr. I) and the Santa Ysabel Stakes (gr. III) at Santa Anita Park, as well as the Melair Stakes at Betfair Hollywood Park. At 2 she won the Barretts Debutante Stakes at Fairplex Park. She exited racing with a record of 5-3-5 from 19 starts and earnings of $648,896.

Bred by Lovingier, Willa B Awesome was sired by Awesome Gambler, who stands at Lovingier's Lovacres Ranch near Warner Springs, Calif. Willa B Awesome is out of the winning Nineeleven mare Cause I'm Tricky.
