Hall of Fame Trainer John Nerud will celebrate his 100th birthday Feb. 9. The living legend is known for several milestone achievements in the business ranging from Hall of Fame trainer to the breeder of Unbridled to founding member of Breeders' Cup.
In an effort to preserve Nerud's legacy and to allow his friends and admirers an opportunity to send Nerud a birthday greeting, a website at www.johnnerud.com has been developed. The site, created by LGB LLC allows its visitors to post comments, anecdotes, tales, myths, stories, and a greeting to the soon-to-be centenarian.
Friends and fans are encouraged to pay tribute to Nerud. A party in Nerud's honor will be held Feb. 10, and pictures of the event will be posted to the site after the birthday celebration.
