Kentucky Breeder Tavner Dunlap Dies

Tavner B. Dunlap, a Central Kentucky owner/breeder, died Feb. 4 at his Versailles, Ky., home. The Lexington native was 59.

Dunlap, a lawyer by profession, owned Pastures Farm and was co-manager of Deep Springs Farm. He raced homebred stakes winner Pisgah, and bred horses with his late father, Tavner Dunlap Jr.

Dunlap was a member of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association and the Thoroughbred Club of America. His survivors include his wife, Susan, and two children, Jordan and Tavner A. Dunlap.

Visitation will be held at Kerr Brothers, Harrodsburg Rd., in Lexington from 5-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, and at Pisgah Presbyterian Church in Versailles at 2 p.m. Saturday, after which a funeral service will be held.
