Grade I winner Here Comes Ben and the Forestry mare Double Dinghy Day produced the first foal by the son of Street Cry, Joe and Anne McMahon announced Feb. 1.
The filly arrived Jan. 31 at 9:20 p.m. at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
Here Comes Ben is one of 13 grade I winners by champion Street Cry, a list that includes Horse of the Year Zenyatta. Winner of the 2010 Forego Stakes (gr. I) at Saratoga Race Course, Here Comes Ben defeated champion Big Drama and four other grade I winners.
The filly is the second foal for Double Dinghy Day, a winner of more than $180,000 and out of the multiple graded stakes-placed Unbridled mare Windsong. The new filly was bred by McMahon Thoroughbreds.
Here Comes Ben stands for $7,500 live foal at McMahon Thoroughbreds of Saratoga and is the property of Brandon and Marianne Chase and McMahon Thoroughbreds.
