California HOF to Induct Denman, Windy Sands

Legendary race caller Trevor Denman and champion stallion Windy Sands will be inducted in the California Hall of Fame at the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner, to be held Feb. 11 at the Westin Pasadena.

Denman, a native of South Africa, is the longtime voice of Santa Anita Park, Del Mar, and Fairplex Park.

Windy Sands was a six-time California champion stallion after a career as a stakes-winning runner. His best-known foals were Crystal Water and June Darling.

The annual business meeting will begin at 4 p.m., a cocktail reception will be at 6 p.m. and the awards dinner begins at 7 p.m.
