Jockey David Cohen celebrated his return to Aqueduct Racetrack by winning three races Jan. 27, including the $73,500 Cagey Exuberance Stakes aboard Celtic Chant.
Back in New York for the first time since the fall, Cohen guided the Kentucky-bred 5-year-old daughter of Songandaprayer to a front-running neck victory, her eighth in 22 starts, in the race for older fillies and mares.
The second leading rider at Aqueduct two of the previous three winters, Cohen most recently competed at Gulfstream Park in Florida after an earlier stint in Kentucky.
Celtic Chant, trained by Chris Englehart for Waterville Lake Stable, ran six furlongs in 1:10.36, beating Delightful Quality, the 4-5 favorite in the field of five. She paid $10 for the win.
Cohen's other wins on the card came in the opener aboard Irish Lion ($3.90) and on Quick Money ($11.40) in the fourth.
