Indiana race tracks could move a step closer to being allowed to add table games when a state Senate committee is scheduled to consider changes to gambling laws Wednesday, Jan. 23.
Hoosier Park in Anderson and Indiana Downs in Shelbyville currently offer slot machines but the Senate committee will consider legislation that also would allow table games like blackjack and roulette. According to the Indianapolis Star, the committee is likely to vote on the changes Wednesday.
The changes also would allow riverboat casinos in the state to move their casinos onto land, as long as it is moved to existing property.
