Ballena Vista, Wygod Buy Mares for Calimonco

Donald Cohn and Martin Wygod purchased 10 distaffers at the Keeneland January horses of all ages sale to be bred to stakes winner Calimonco, who stands at Cohn's Ballena Vista Farm near Ramona, Calif.

The new acquisitions include Good Heavens, dam of a stakes-placed runner and in foal to Harlanʼs Holiday, and eight winning fillies by such sires as Quiet American  , Rahy, Tapit  , and War Front  . All the mares will enter the breeding shed for the first time in 2013.

Calimonco (Storm CatSweet Life, by Kris S.) stands for $1,500.
