Retama Park Founder Jefferson Carr Dies

Texas native Jefferson Carr, an attorney who was instrumental in starting Retama Park, died Jan. 15. He was 77.
A World War II veteran, Carr helped in the formation of Retama Partners Ltd., which constructed Retama Park. Carr served as president and was on the board of directors. He also was a member of the Texas Thoroughbred Breeders Association and Texas Quarter Horse Association.
