Gio Ponti's First Foal Arrives in Ontario

The first reported foal by three-time Eclipse Award Winner Gio Ponti   was born Jan. 11 at Huntington Stud Farm in Kleinburg, Ontario.

Kissin Party, a stakes placed daughter of Kissin Kris, produced the chestnut colt by Gio Ponti.

Owner Dan Mooney said he was "delighted with the foalwas  who has good size, bone and great quality."

Gio Ponti, an 8-year-old son of Tale of the Cat   out of the Alydar mare Chipeta Springs, was champion turf male in both 2009 and 2010 and champion older male in 2009. He stands at Castleton Lyons near Lexington in for $20,000 in 2013.
