Midnight Interlude, winner of the 2011 Santa Anita Derby (gr. I), headlines the supplemental catalog for the Barretts January mixed sale Jan. 22. The supplemental catalog consists of nine horses of racing age, eight broodmare/broodmare prospects, two stallion prospects, two 2-year-olds, and a yearling.
 
Five-year-old Midnight  Interlude (War Chant  --Midnight Kiss, by Groom Dancer) followed his victory in the Santa Anita Derby with starts in both the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) and the Preakness Stakes (gr. I) and then won his grass debut in the Tsunami Slew Stakes. Trained by Bob Baffert, Midnight Interlude later ran second in the Del Mar Derby (gr. IIT), beaten a nose.

He sells as a stallion prospect for McCarthy Bloodstock, agent, as Hip 161.
